Chris Brown didn’t hold back. The R&B star took a sharp shot Tuesday night (Oct. 21) after former collaborator Kevin McCall’s emotional podcast confession went viral — and after Young Thug stepped in to offer $25,000 to settle McCall’s alleged unpaid debt.
“Remember this: you can’t walk across a burnt bridge. And you know what’s funnier than a troll? A BROKE ONE,” Brown wrote on Instagram Stories. He didn’t name names, but fans didn’t need to guess.
The jab came hours after McCall’s tearful appearance on Back On Figg, where he revealed he’s been struggling financially despite writing some of Brown’s biggest early hits — including “Deuces” and “Strip.”
“Why the f### I got an EBT card? And this n#### is at Breezy Bowl making millions?” McCall said through tears. “Can I get $25K for them four songs I owe you, bro? That s### ain’t fair!”

The clip exploded online, prompting Young Thug to weigh in. “Kevin McCall hit me my n####, I’ll give u the 25k u need,” Thug posted on X. “I know CB would too… n##### is busy sometimes brada.”
McCall and Brown’s fallout dates back nearly a decade, following a string of early-2010s collaborations that helped launch McCall’s career. Between 2014 and 2016, McCall accused Brown of withholding royalties, while Brown fired back with insults and online mockery.
Old footage resurfaced showing Brown taunting McCall, saying he spent their song money on “awards and cars” — before laughing, “with his money.”

During the emotional interview, McCall also opened up about losing contact with his children, including his daughter with model Eva Marcille, and admitted to battling suicidal thoughts.
The situation has reignited a long-simmering feud — with fans divided between sympathy for McCall’s pain and criticism of Brown’s cold response.
