Drake “I’m Upset” Video, Reveals ‘Scorpion’ Release Date!

Drake dropped a new music video for his song “I’m Upset” late Wednesday, and it’s jam-packed with nostalgia from his “Degrassi” days.

Drake starred on the TV show for several seasons as Jimmy Brooks. The six-minute video features cameos by many of the rapper’s co-stars on the Canadian teen drama, including Spinner, Sean, Paige and Craig. Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob also show up in the clip, directed by Karena Evans. Smith showed his appreciation on Twitter.

The artist also posted on Instagram on Wednesday night that his next album, “Scorpion,” would be released June 29.

Drake has finally given a release date for his fifth studio album.

The proper follow-up to 2016’s Views, Scorpion is slated to drop everywhere on June 29th. Naturally, we all have to ask: will he respond to Pusha-T‘s etherous “The Story Of Adidon?” Honestly, I hope he doesn’t and just keeps it pushing. But hey, this is why I’m not a rapper.

Anyways, he followed up the reveal of both the release date and cover art with the visual treatment for its latest single, “I’m Upset.” Directed by Karena Evans (“Nice For What,” “God’s Plan“), the video is a literal Degrassi reunion featuring the alumni of the long-running drama (down to the kid who shot Drake in the show). Even Jay and Silent Bob pop up… no, seriously. See what I mean, below.
