NLE Choppa Responds After Both Mothers of His Children Accuse Him of Child Neglect

Written by on 10/06/2025

NLE Choppa is facing major backlash after the mothers of his two children accused him of neglecting and mistreating their kids.

The drama first erupted in mid-September when Marissa Da’Nae, who shares a two-year-old son named ChoZen with the rapper, took to social media to call him out for allegedly being an absent father. Marissa claimed Choppa started a custody battle despite barely checking in on their child.

“I can’t believe this [man] is taking me to court about a child he doesn’t even call,” she wrote. “Can’t even tell a [person] when’s the last time ChoZen been to the doctor.”

Marissa later doubled down, alleging that Choppa restricted their son’s meals, saying, “A child he had fasting at 1 year old
 Kids come home starving.”

Not long after, Mariah, the mother of Choppa’s daughter Clover, echoed those claims in an X post on October 4, writing, “Be starving Clover’s [butt] as well.” Her comment quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media to discuss the accusations.

In response, Choppa’s mother, Angela Potts, stepped in to defend her son. She shared clips of the rapper caring for his kids and dismissed the claims as false.

“But he don’t feed her, right?” she wrote. “All he does for his baby mamas and kids, and this the thanks he gets. SLANDER.”

Choppa himself later posted a video on Instagram showing him gently styling his daughter’s hair. When he asked, “Who’s the best dad?” Clover replied, “Bryson Potts,” using his real name. He captioned the clip with a playful tone:

“Looks like neglect to me 😂💖 PS: This toothbrush is designated ONLY for her hair!”

As of now, neither Marissa nor Mariah has filed any official legal action.
