Boston’s Longest-Running Block Party Returns!
For more than 52 years, the Hewins Street Block Party in Dorchester has been a beloved Boston tradition—and it’s back on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Taking over Hewins Street between Columbia Road and Erie Street, this legendary neighborhood celebration brings together families, friends, and community leaders for a day full of music, food, and fun. Over the years, it’s welcomed visits from Boston mayors and elected officials alike. City Councillor Brian Worrell—a Hewins Street resident—and State Rep. Chris Worrell, who grew up here, proudly co-host alongside their neighbors.
