Aesop Rock & Homeboy Sandman Pay Homage to MF DOOM on “Ask Anyone”

Because the clock ran out on 2020, MF DOOM‘s spouse relayed the somber information that the legendary rapper had transitioned to the afterlife a pair months earlier on October 31st. The information was a shock to household, mates and followers who’ve continued to share tales of their time with the masked villain and his music. Final week, Aesop Rock and Homeboy Sandman joined in on the celebration of DOOM’s life with a brand new LICE track, “Ask Anybody.”

The duo ship a heartfelt tribute about their fallen buddy over “Datura Stramonium” (an instrumental off Particular Herbs 9 & 0), with Aes Rock reminiscing on the times he would recite the villain’s raps within the crowd at early reveals and buying and selling DOOM bars with mates on the park whereas Boy Sand provided a breakdown of DOOM’s many factions inside music–from Viktor Vaughn and Metallic Fingers to the Monsta Island Czars collective.
