Fly Anakin Drops ‘Frank’ Album

Written by on March 11, 2022

Though I’d’ve caught on to the Mutant Academy wave a bit late, I’ve totally loved any and the whole lot the Virigina-based collective has launched in the previous few years. And whereas I haven’t heard the whole lot, but, I’m doing my finest to soak up all their previous work. Right this moment is in regards to the current, although, with the co-founding member Fly Anakin releasing his debut album, Frank.

The phrase “debut” is a bit deceptive, although, as Anakin already has 20+ initiatives below his belt. However there’s actually no motive to get caught up in titles as of late. “I referred to as this one my debut as a result of it value essentially the most cash to make,” Anakin advised Stereogum in a latest interview. “It’s the primary price range, the primary time my shit was mastered. It’s the primary certainly one of that type.”

Semantics apart, whether or not that is FA’s first mission or his 30th, one reality stays: this sh*t is dope!

Anchored by the Proof-produced “Sean Price” and LIKE-laced “Ghost” with longtime DopeHouse resident Nickelus F, the 17-track mission options further contributions from Madlib (“No Dough“), Pink Siifu (who simply launched a deluxe version of GUMBO with 10 new songs), Billz Egypt, Henny L.O, ohbliv, Foisey, Jay Versace, Large Kahuna OG, and some others.
