Ghostface Killah Shares “I Got Soul,” “Bob James” Freestyles

Written by on November 30, 2021

Currently I’ve been on a “classic Wu-Tang Clan” kick, the place many of the music I’ve been listening to has been from the legendary crew. So, naturally, I’ve immediately gravitated to those latest drops from Ghostface Killah.

GFK — who celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut album Ironman, and is in the midst of his three Chambers Tour alongside GZA and Raekwon — has dropped a pair of freestyles: “I Received Soul” and “Bob James.” “I Received Soul” is his tackle fellow legends Eric B & Rakim’s “I Know You Received Soul,” whereas “Bob James” — with Raekwon — has the 2 revisiting the monitor (“Nautilus”) RZA sampled for “Daytona 500.” In the meantime, the “art work” is a sly nod to the disks of beats RZA would label for the Clan throughout their early days (which was referenced of their Wu-Tang: An American Saga sequence). This might function a precursor to Ghost’s Supreme Clientele 2 undertaking, which is reportedly arriving someday in early 2022 and might be government produced by Kanye West and Mike Dean.

Clearly, I’m right here for each of those tracks. Press play on the freestyles under.
