HBO Max To Add Introduction Explaining Racial Context To “Gone With The Wind”

HBO Max will probably be including the basic movie, Gone With The Wind, again to its catalog of content material, however with a brand new introduction by Jacqueline Stewart. The introduction will clarify the historic and racial context of the movie.

Gone With The Wind was initially pulled from the streaming service final week, after director John Ridley wrote an op-ed for the Los Angeles Instances explaining the problematic depictions of slavery within the film.
“We did not put the disclaimer in there which mainly units up the problems that this film actually brings up,” WarnerMedia chairman Bob Greenblatt defined to Jess Cagle for an interview on Sirius XM: “We took it off and we will convey it again with the right context.
