Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah, the 2 filmmakers behind jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy, premiered the movie at Sundance Movie Competition over the weekend. The 2 mentioned engaged on the venture with The Hollywood Reporter, explaining the difficulties they’d getting the venture made in a bit printed on Sunday.
“When it got here down to creating it, I needed to let him know to make this movie genuine, he needed to step again,” Simmons instructed the outlet. “I needed to take management of this narrative that God created — we didn’t create this. And he stated he trusted I’d do job on it.”

Ozah added that the story is not unique to Kanye, and as a substitute is about overcoming adversity.
“For us, the story isn’t about Kanye. It isn’t about Coodie. It’s simply utilizing them as vessels to have the ability to unlock your ardour,” he defined.

“We really feel like all the pieces occurs in God’s time.
