The fees adopted 2017 allegations by 4 ladies who mentioned Masterson raped them years earlier. In 2019, these ladies sued Masterson, the Church of Scientology and church chief David Miscavige, accusing the group of stalking and intimidating them and trying to hinder justice as LA authorities investigated the claims.

Masterson and the Church of Scientology have repeatedly denied the allegations.
