Little Richard’s ‘Rip It Up’ Chosen As New ‘Monday Night Football’ Intro Song

ESPN is hoping that one of many architects of rock n’ roll can carry some new power to their “Monday Evening Soccer” present with fewer followers within the stands this yr.
The brand new season beginning Monday will function a brand new model of Little Richard’s hit “Rip It Up” that includes new instrumentals and backup vocals from the Virginia-based band Butcher Brown.
The tune replaces Hank Williams Jr.‘s “All My Rowdy Pals Are Coming Over Tonight,” which was repurposed with new lyrics like, “All my rowdy associates are right here for Monday evening.” Williams’ tune was used on the present for 2 durations, 1989-2011 after which 2017-2019.
