Massachusetts’ COVID-19 Hotline Gets Slammed With Calls — And A Dick Pic

A brand new Massachusetts hotline for residents to report violations of COVID-19 security requirements has been flooded by calls and emails that embody profanity-laden tirades towards Gov. Charlie Baker and an image of a person’s penis.

Many have been disgruntled prospects complaining about staff failing to put on face masks, or carrying them improperly. Dunkin’ franchises figured prominently, MassLive reported, with complaints focusing on 18 doughnut store places.

The vast majority of calls and emails have been authentic grievances, officers mentioned. A “small fraction,” nonetheless, sought to ship different messages. Some ranted towards Baker (R) as a “Republican In Title Solely” who did not put on a masks throughout his media briefings. Others focused Black Lives Matter protests. One was a dick pic despatched on the day the hotline opened from a mysterious account named “Good German.” 

The Division of Labor Requirements mentioned it goals to comply with up on the complaints inside 72 hours. However the preliminary quantity was so heavy that it despatched an automatic reply to many complainants.
