Offsetâs Halloween surprise wasnât just his new album â it was also a hefty bill from Uncle Sam.
According to Complex, the IRS has filed multiple federal tax liens against the Atlanta rapper, totaling more than $2 million. Documents reveal one lien for $486,426.35 in unpaid 2023 taxes and another for $1,575,266.73 from previous years. On top of that, the Georgia Department of Revenue also filed its own claim, alleging Offset failed to pay $266,702.21 in 2021 state taxes (down from an earlier balance of $294,712.02).
All told, the former Migos member owes about $2.3 million â and the timing couldnât be worse. The tax troubles come as Offset and Cardi Bâs divorce remains unresolved, with reports that Offset has requested spousal support.
Meanwhile, Cardi isnât letting the drama slow her down. The Bronx-born superstar recently dropped her sophomore album âAm I The Drama?â and turned heartbreak into heat on the standout single âOutside,â rapping:
âWhen I tell you these ns ainât sht, please believe me / They gonâ f on anything, these n****s way too easy.â
Cardi has since moved on, enjoying her pregnancy with NFL star Stefon Diggs, while Offset has thrown himself into work. His surprise album âHaunted By Fameâ dropped on Halloween, featuring sharp bars that many fans believe were aimed at his ex.
On the track âNo Sweat,â Offset raps:
âOn the way to the money, no stoppinâ / How the f*** you leave Jordan for Rodman? / You a fool if you think that Iâm not hurt / You ainât happy, I know how it work.â
Looks like Offsetâs haunted season isnât just about fame â itâs also about finances.
