Protesters Gather In Minnesota Ahead Of Trial Of Ex-Officer Charged In George Floyd's Death

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Dozens of individuals gathered in entrance of the Minnesota governor’s mansion on Saturday to demand accountability for cops, days earlier than a former Minneapolis officer is scheduled to go on trial within the loss of life of George Floyd.
Most of the roughly 150 individuals who demonstrated in Minnesota have been relations of others who died throughout police encounters. Related protests have been being organized in cities across the nation upfront of the trial of Derek Chauvin.
Floyd, a Black man, died Might 25 after Chauvin, who’s white, pressed his knee towards Floyd’s neck whereas Floyd was held face-down on the bottom in handcuffs, saying he couldn’t breathe.
