Sony Set To Develop DJ Screw Biopic

Sony is growing a biopic targeted on the lifetime of legendary producer DJ Screw, which will likely be an adaptation of Isaac Yowman’s musical tribute to Screw, All Screwed Up.
Yoman’s All Screwed Up, would be the first challenge from The Incubation Lab, which helps develop tasks from unconventional storytellers, to be tailored into a movie.
Maia Eyre will oversee the challenge on behalf of Sony in collaboration with Jeron Smith, who runs The Incubation Lab.
“Jeron and Maia have been extraordinarily useful and clear in navigating me by means of this course of,” Yowman advised THR. “They’ve dedicated to creating positive my voice as a black filmmaker is heard and the crew we’re constructing is tremendous stable. I can inform Sony genuinely needs to see me develop as a artistic, and meaning lots. The household is blissful and so am I.”
Screw, who’s from Houston, is among the most influential artists from the 1990s and was identified for his iconic chopped and screwed remix type. Many artists have paid tribute to the legend within the twenty years since his passing. Screw died on the age of 29-years-old in 2000.
Manufacturing for the upcoming movie is predicted to start in 2021.
