Summer Walker is an American R&B singer, songwriter and music producer from Atlanta, Georgia. She broke out on the music front in 2018 with tracks “Session 32”, “CPR” and “Girls Need Love.” Her full-length debut album, Last Day Of Summer, was released in October 2018. She’s currently signed to LVRN, an affiliate of Interscope Records. The label is home to 6lack, Raury and D.R.A.M.

Summer was born on April 11, 1996. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Her father is from London, England. Summer’s music inspiration include Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu. In addition to vocal and songwriting, she’s also a multi-instrumentalist, mastering the guitar and piano among other instruments. Since her debut, she’s been compared to acts like H.E.R. and SZA.

The project boasts a guitar-centric vibe and sultry vocals. It cover topics like sex. Last Day Of Summer was led by the Arsenio Archer- produced singles “Girls Need Love” & “Deep”, and “CPR” (produced by Gambi). The music video for Girls Need Love has been viewed more than 23 million times on YouTube. It was directed by Lacey Duke and produced by Maya Table.

In Fall 2018, Summer was an opening act on 6lack’s From East Atlanta With Love Tour. Her leg of the tour ran from November 2 in Memphis, Tennessee to December 21 in Atlanta, Georgia. The tour also featured performances from Tierra Whack, They and Boogie.
