The Kings Fire Luke Walton After Losing To The Jazz

The Sacramento Kings have fired their head coach, Luke Walton, and are changing him with Alvin Gentry, who will function interim head coach. The firing got here after the Kings’ 123-105 loss to the Utah Jazz, Saturday.

The workforce has misplaced seven of their final eight video games, sitting at 6-11 on the season. They rank 12th within the Western Convention.

“Everyone knows all of us should be higher, particularly over the past two weeks,” common supervisor Monte McNair stated. “We’re not assembly expectations. That is not simply on Luke. That is on me, the remainder of our coaches and gamers. Everybody acknowledges that.”

McNair says that his squad has the roster to be a a lot better workforce, and believes that Gentry will take them to that stage.

“I believe we’ve got the expertise,” McNair continued. “We have proven that we will do this. We’ll get again to that and Alvin would be the man to steer us there.”

Gentry has now coached six NBA groups in his profession together with the Miami Warmth, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans, and Sacramento Kings.

The Kings’ subsequent sport comes in opposition to the Philidelphia 76ers on Monday.
