It was the “scent of loss of life” that struck Vladimir Basovskyi of Kyiv as he delivered meals and drugs to the surviving residents of cities surrounding Ukraine’s capital metropolis.
Burned automobiles. Blackened flats. Demolished roofs. Streets crawling with journalists and investigators, documenting our bodies.
“Then all the pieces was like in fog – plenty of crying, plenty of happiness to see Ukrainian individuals, plenty of worry in eyes, plenty of anger,” Basovskyi, 35, informed USA TODAY on Tuesday. “Subsequent what I keep in mind, I’m sitting at residence and crying like a baby.
