6ix9ine is back on lockdown after a violent run-in at a Florida mall landed him in more legal trouble.
According to NBC News, the Brooklyn rapperâreal name Daniel Hernandezâappeared in federal court in Manhattan on Friday (Sept. 26) for his arraignment. He admitted to punching and kicking a man in Palm Beach County who allegedly called him a âsnitch.â The plea to misdemeanor battery violated the terms of his probation.
Instead of sending him straight to jail, Judge Paul A. Engelmayer ordered Hernandez to serve house arrest with an electronic ankle monitor.
âI think the judge made the right call⊠putting him in jail wouldâve been too drastic,â said his lawyer, Lance Lazzaro. He claimed 6ix9ine was at the mall with his family when the manâwho he says was armedâprovoked the situation. âHe has to live every day with people doing stupid things to him and provoking him, which clearly was the case here.â

This isnât the first time the âGummoâ rapper has tested the limits of his probation. Just this summer, he admitted to having MDMA and cocaine inside his West Palm Beach home. Police also discovered a firearm in his pool house during the raid.
6ix9ineâs final sentencing is scheduled for November 4.
