NBA YoungBoy was carried through a chaotic crowd by police after a packed New Orleans concert left him without visible personal security.
The MASA Tour stop at the Smoothie King Center on Sunday (October 19) drew massive crowds, overwhelming venue security and leaving the 26-year-old rapper vulnerable after his performance. Video clips from the scene show officers lifting a hesitant YoungBoy and escorting him to a waiting vehicle.
The New Orleans Police Department deployed over 400 officers to manage the event, enforcing a no-bag policy and warning attendees against bringing firearms. Despite these measures, supporters swarmed YoungBoy, creating a tense and disorderly situation.
NOPD Deputy Chief Hans Ganthier had previously cautioned concertgoers about leaving guns in their vehicles, noting the risk of theft or other safety hazards.

This stop follows a series of turbulent tour dates for YoungBoy. His September show at Chicago’s United Center was canceled just two days before the event, and his Atlanta performance at State Farm Arena on October 18 was called off after a sold-out show on October 15. Fans still gathered outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium the following day, turning the cancellation into an impromptu celebration.
