NEW YORK CITY — The “Fashion Killa” himself, A$AP Rocky, officially joined the ranks of style royalty last night (Nov. 3) after being honored by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) with the Fashion Icon Award — a distinction once held by his superstar partner, Rihanna.
The event, held in Manhattan, saw Vogue’s Anna Wintour present the award, calling Rocky “a visionary whose influence transcends music and fashion.”
“He’s joining us here tonight two months after the birth of his third child, named Rocki,” Wintour said. “Seeing A$AP Rocky, the devoted father, makes it clear how much family means to him — and now we are all welcoming him into ours.”
