Amanda Seales Reacts to Charlie Kirk Assassination: “Life Comes at You Fast”

Amanda Seales isn’t sugarcoating her thoughts on the shocking assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Taking to Instagram Stories on Sept. 10, the actress and comedian dropped a raw, unfiltered reaction that cut straight to the irony of his death — and why she refuses to extend him empathy.
“I can’t have empathy for someone like Charlie Kirk because I cannot be in his shoes,” Seales said bluntly. She reminded followers that Kirk himself once dismissed empathy as “some new age made-up shit,” making it clear she wasn’t about to offer what he never believed in.

Seales zeroed in on the scene of Kirk’s killing: shot dead while speaking at a Utah college event about so-called “Black gangs.” Authorities confirmed the shooter was an older white man — a detail Seales couldn’t resist highlighting with biting sarcasm:
“Ain’t no way it was a Black man that took that man out, not in Utah.”
She then flipped the script on one of Kirk’s favorite talking points, framing his death as “white-on-white violence.”
Seales doubled down, contrasting her lack of sympathy for Kirk with the compassion she feels for strangers who die from addiction.
“When people overdose, it’s about the hardships and the numbness of life. That’s human. That’s pain I can connect to,” she said. But with Kirk? “There’s no shared humanity there.”
She also pointed to Kirk’s unapologetic pro-gun stance, recalling how he once claimed “people got to be sacrificed in order to protect guns.” For Seales, that worldview made his death especially grim in its irony.
Her commentary ended with a line that blended sarcasm with stark reality: “Life comes at you fast.”
Seales’ sharp words underscore just how polarizing Kirk’s legacy remains — and how his violent death is being read through America’s ongoing battles over empathy, ideology, and who gets to control the narrative around violence.
