A rare Prince B-side has been released to digital services for the first time to mark the 20th anniversary of the legendary singerās 28th studio album,Ā Musicology.
The song, āUnited States of Division,ā was originally released in 2004 to Princeās NPG Music Club as a virtual B-side for the song āCinnamon Girl” and later as a bonus track for the U.K. CD single of the same song.
āUnited States of Divisionā is a protest tune written during the Iraq War era, and in it, Prince sings about his fears for the state of our nation.
āHow far from heaven must we go? / Before the winds of change will blow and show,ā Prince sings. āThis world how it’s supposed to be / Land of peace and harmony.ā

Musicology was handed out to fans who attended Princeās Musicology Tour, which ran from March to September 2004. It was released in retail outlets in April of the same year.

If the recentĀ FutureĀ andĀ Metro Boomin album, We Don’t Trust You, wasn’t enough, another one is on the way. We Still Don’t Trust You is set to be released later in April.Ā
Metro shared the news on Instagram Thursday, April 4, with a trailer that finds him and Future in white suits, in front of white luxury cars and in a circle alongside copies of themselves. The clip then comes to a wrap with the album’s release date: April 12.
āJobās not finished 4/12/24 @1future,ā MetroĀ wroteĀ alongside the video, adding,Ā āThis is not a deluxe this is completely separate body of work #WeSTILLDontTrustYou 4/12/24.”
We Still Don’t Trust You will follow Future and Metro’s We Don’t Trust You, which peaked atopĀ the Billboard 200, becoming theĀ biggest sales week for any album thus far in 2024. Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Rick Ross, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar, who appears on the Hot 100 track “Like That,” were tapped for the project.
