Beyoncé Returns to the Met Gala—This Time as Co-Chair of Fashion’s Biggest Night along with Venus Williams

Written by on 12/10/2025

Beyoncé is officially stepping back onto fashion’s most iconic carpet—this time in a position of power—as she joins the 2026 Met Gala as one of its co-chairs.

The night will honor the Met’s spring Costume Institute exhibition, “Costume Art.” Joining her in the prestigious role of Co-Chairs are Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and longtime event architect Anna Wintour.

This marks Beyoncé’s first return to the Met steps in a decade—her last appearances produced some of the most dissected looks in gala history, including those unforgettable, body-skimming Givenchy gowns that shaped red-carpet culture in the 2010s.

As co-chair, Beyoncé won’t just be a guest—she’ll help set the creative direction of the evening, from spotlighting rising designers to elevating the artistry behind fashion’s most theatrical showcase. With her cultural footprint spanning music, film, business, and global influence, her presence injects a surge of star power into an already high-stakes night.

Additional co-chairs and the full guest list are still under wraps, but anticipation is already climbing. One thing is certain: fashion watchers worldwide will be waiting to see how Beyoncé redefines the Met Gala—and what jaw-dropping look she’ll choose when she ascends those famed steps once again.
