Mickey Lee, a standout contestant from the most recent season of CBS’ Big Brother, has died at age 35.
Her family announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram on December 26.
“With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening,” the statement read.
“Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother. Her authenticity, strength, and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many, and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen.”
Just days earlier, a GoFundMe revealed that Lee had been hospitalized in the ICU after suffering a “series of cardiac arrests.” The page described her as vibrant, strategic, and unforgettable — a personality who quickly became one of Season 27’s most talked-about Houseguests. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Lee was based in Atlanta and worked as an event curator.
Tributes from Big Brother alumni poured in.
Rachel Reilly wrote:
“Mickey will always be remembered. And I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her. She shared so much light with us.”
Season alum Mecole Hayes also expressed her grief:
“Mickey 💔 this is so devastating. We are incredibly sad for this unfortunate loss. Rest peacefully, beautiful.”
As of now, supporters have raised more than $32,000 toward the GoFundMe’s $40,000 goal to support Lee’s family.
Mickey Lee’s impact on reality TV — and the people who loved her — clearly runs deep. Her energy, warmth, and fearless personality left a mark that fans won’t soon forget.
