Burna Boy Stops Show After Spotting Fan Asleep In The Front Row: “Burna Boy Is Too Arrogant”

Written by on 11/19/2025

Burna Boy brought his No Sign of Weakness tour to Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre last week — but the show hit an unexpected standstill when the Grammy-winning star spotted a fan in the front row fast asleep during his set.

Mid-performance, the 34-year-old paused the music and locked eyes on the couple in the front row.

“I see you over there with your girl sleeping,” he said, pointing directly at them. “If this is real, then f*** off, bruv. I’m not doing no more songs until you take her home. You’re taking the fing p, bro.”

What initially sounded like playful banter quickly turned serious when Burna Boy walked offstage — refusing to continue until the woman was removed.

The fan, who had attended with her partner, eventually stood up and exited the venue. The crowd’s reaction was mixed: hesitant cheers from some, frustration from others. One man could be heard saying,

“I’d want my money back,” while a woman closer to the moment shouted, “Get her some water!” assuming the fan was ill, not asleep.

Once she left, Burna Boy returned to the stage as if nothing had happened — launching straight into his next track and commanding the audience to light up the amphitheater with their phone flashlights.

SOCIAL MEDIA REACTS: “Burna Boy Is Too Arrogant”

Clips of the moment spread quickly online, and viewers weren’t shy about calling out the Afro-fusion superstar.

“Burna boy is just too arrogant,” wrote one TikTok user — a comment that has racked up more than 42,000 likes.

Others piled on with:

“She needs a good lawyer.”
“Who is he feeling like?”
“With the money I paid, I’m sleeping wherever I want.”

Despite the controversy, Burna Boy remains one of the biggest global artists out of Africa. He’s currently touring North America in support of his album No Sign of Weakness, which features heavyweight collaborations with Mick Jagger, Travis Scott, Shaboozey, and Belgian star Stromae.

But his Denver stop will be remembered for more than the music — it’ll go down as the night Burna Boy literally refused to perform unless a fan left the building.
