It started when Minaj, 42, threw shade at Cardi’s new album Am I the Drama?, mocking its $4.99 promotional price before deleting the post.
She went further, dubbing Cardi “Barney Dangerous,” twisting her lyrics into parodies, and even sharing an AI-generated image of Cardi dressed as Barney the dinosaur. Minaj also took aim at Cardi’s pregnancy, rapping in a tweet:

“You been in the game like 16 years,” Cardi wrote. “You need to compare yourself to YOUR peers… Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake. Those are the numbers you need to be competing wit. I was in high school when you came out. Wtf is you comparing yourself to me for???”
Cardi also hit back at Minaj’s pregnancy comments, accusing her of struggling with fertility issues and adding, “Lord protect my babies.”
The exchange drew reactions across hip-hop, with Ice Spice dropping a laughing emoji as fans watched the feud escalate in real time.
The rivalry between Cardi and Nicki dates back years, with the most infamous moment coming in 2018 when Cardi threw a shoe at Minaj during Milan Fashion Week.
