Destin Conrad Brings Realness & Joy With New Album ‘Love On Digital’

Written by on 09/30/2025

Destin Conrad is on fire right now — the R&B singer who came up singing in church has officially carved out his own lane in the game. Known for keeping it raw, versatile, and centered on joy, Conrad just dropped his new project Love on Digital, and it’s his freest, most confident work yet. The album taps into nostalgia, live energy, and that signature intimacy his fans connect with.

“I thought I wanted to be a songwriter for a long time, and then I just kinda fell into making music. It snowballed,” Conrad said.

What started as demos with his producer Louie turned into music that felt too personal to hand off — so he owned it. That decision turned into the foundation of his artistry, and now he’s stepping into the spotlight like never before.

Though he experiments with different sounds — from jazz-inspired projects to soulful blends — Conrad makes it clear:

“R&B is my core. That’s what you’re always gonna hear the most of from me.”

With Love on Digital, he dug into the sounds that shaped him while keeping it timeless.

But Conrad’s real power is bigger than melodies. He’s unapologetically honest about love between men in his lyrics, something still rare in mainstream R&B.

“It makes me so happy when other queer people feel seen by me or feel like they have my voice as a reference,” he said. “All I can do is write from the truth. I would hate to make music and lie.”

That truth shows up in how he views music as a whole:

“Music is so subjective. It’s like wearing an outfit and finding clothes that fit you. It’s for who it’s for. The people that do connect with it—I love and respect.”

Built with performance in mind, Love on Digital thrives on stage. After touring his last project Submissive, Conrad wanted joints that hit different live. “These songs are probably the most fun I’ve ever had performing,” he said.

Before kicking off tour, Conrad linked with D’Ussé to host a send-off dinner with friends in Brooklyn.

“I felt really loved,” he said, smiling. “They know the baddies for real.”

At the end of the day, Conrad keeps it simple:

“Fun. Just fun. I don’t want people to think too deep into it because I didn’t think too deep into making it. Optimism, divine optimism, and joy.”

From his church roots to stages packed with fans, Destin Conrad is proving that staying grounded in truth is the ultimate freedom. With Love on Digital, he’s giving the culture a project that’s equal parts growth, representation, and pure vibes.
