House Oversight Democrats Release New Epstein Emails Linking Trump to Fresh Questions About Their Ties

Written by on 11/13/2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Democratic majority on the House Oversight Committee has released a new batch of emails from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, including several that reference former President Donald Trump, stirring renewed scrutiny over their relationship.

One of the messages, dated April 2011, shows Epstein writing to Ghislaine Maxwell, saying:

“I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him … he has never once been mentioned.”
Maxwell replied:
“I have been thinking about that.”

Another email from January 2019, addressed to author Michael Wolff, quotes Epstein claiming:

“Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”

In a December 2015 exchange, Wolff advised Epstein:

“If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency.”

Committee Democrats say the emails “raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President.”

White House Fires Back

Republicans and the White House swiftly condemned the release, calling it a political stunt.
Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement:

“These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.”

Trump himself took to social media, writing:

“The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything to distract from their own failures.”

GOP committee members echoed the sentiment, accusing Democrats of selectively leaking materials “to generate clickbait.”

What’s in the Documents

The emails are part of a 23,000-document trove obtained through a subpoena to Epstein’s estate. Their release coincides with the swearing-in of a new Democratic member of Congress, giving the majority enough votes to compel broader disclosure of Epstein-related records.

While none of the emails directly allege criminal wrongdoing by Trump, they hint at social and possibly situational awareness between the former president, Epstein, and Maxwell. The name of the individual referenced in the 2011 exchange is redacted under victim-protection protocols.

Legal experts caution that the content is politically explosive but legally inconclusive — offering no direct proof of misconduct without additional corroboration.

What’s Next

The Oversight Committee says it plans to continue reviewing Epstein’s flight logs, financial ledgers, and communications to map the full scope of his political and social connections.

“The more Donald Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we uncover,” said Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA).

With the 2024 campaign season in full swing, the document drop all but guarantees the Epstein network — and Trump’s proximity to it — will stay front and center in Washington’s political crossfire.

The Epstein saga is the biggest political cover-up in modern history.
