Cardi B asked if she was the drama on her sophomore album — and Offset just answered.
The former Migos rapper dropped his new project Haunted By Fame on Friday (Oct. 31), and fans immediately locked in on one track: “NO SWEAT.” Toward the end of the song, Offset appears to aim barbed lyrics straight at his estranged wife, referencing her rumored relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs — and even the child she recently welcomed with him.
“On the way to the money, no stoppin’.
How the f–k you leave Jordan for Rodman?
You a fool if you think that I’m hurt.
You ain’t happy, I know how it work,”
he raps, later adding,
“How you married and still givin’ birth?
Get some help, b-tch, you goin’ berserk.”
The shots didn’t go unnoticed. Fans quickly linked the lines to Cardi’s ongoing divorce saga — one that’s been unfolding both in her music and online. On her album Am I The Drama, Cardi devoted multiple songs (“Man of Your Word,” “What’s Goin On,” “Shower Tears”) to detailing the split, accusing Offset of infidelity and emotional betrayal.
Offset, born Kiari Cephus, hasn’t denied his mistakes. Speaking recently on Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, he admitted, “I was definitely not perfect in the situation. I made a lot of mistakes… I was being selfish.”
The couple — who secretly married in 2017 — share three children: daughters Kulture Kiari and Blossom Belle, and son Wave Set. Cardi filed for divorce last August, announcing her pregnancy with Blossom at the same time.
But the split hasn’t been legally finalized. In a September Twitter Spaces chat, Cardi revealed she’s still technically married — and claimed the holdup comes down to finances.
“The only reason why I’m still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes,” she told fans. “The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else’s taxes and give them one of my properties. I’mma fight for that. This is not no love s—.”
With both rappers trading jabs on wax and online, it’s clear this divorce isn’t cooling off anytime soon. If anything, Haunted By Fame might just be the first of many lyrical rounds between hip-hop’s most headline-making exes.
