Interscope Records has pulled the plug on singer d4vd’s upcoming deluxe release of Withered and suspended all promotional activity, according to multiple reports. The decision comes as the 19-year-old artist faces mounting scrutiny in connection with an LAPD investigation into the disappearance and death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.

Rivas, reported missing in April, was later found dead inside a Tesla registered to d4vd. The vehicle had reportedly sat abandoned at a Hollywood tow yard for weeks before authorities connected it to the case.

Sources told TMZ that Universal Music Group — Interscope’s parent company — instructed staff to pause rollout plans for the September 19th deluxe release, which was set to follow the album’s original April drop.

Earlier this week, investigators searched a Hollywood Hills home linked to d4vd, leaving with computers and evidence bags after several hours. While authorities have not publicly confirmed a direct connection between the residence, the car, or the artist himself, the search has only fueled speculation.

The fallout has already rippled across d4vd’s career. He canceled a Seattle show the same day police raided the home and has stayed largely silent, issuing only limited statements through representatives. Collaborators are also backing away: Kali Uchis announced she was withdrawing from a joint project, citing uncertainty surrounding the case.

At the same time, resurfaced tweets, leaked tracks, and online speculation have amplified the controversy, with allegations of grooming and inappropriate contact adding further pressure.

As of now, the LAPD has not confirmed charges against d4vd, and the investigation remains ongoing. Still, with a major label pulling support and key industry allies distancing themselves, the future of the rising star’s career hangs in limbo.
