Jennifer Hudson Announces 2026 North American Arena Tour, Her First Major Tour in Years

Written by on 12/17/2025

Jennifer Hudson revealed plans Tuesday for a 2026 North American arena tour with  Josh Groban, marking her return to large-scale touring after several years away from the road.

The Oscar and Grammy Award winner will headline arena-sized venues across the United States and Canada, supporting her recent and forthcoming music projects.

“This tour is a celebration of music, resilience and connection,” Hudson said in a written statement. “I cannot wait to meet fans where they are.”

Hudson shared the announcement through her official website and social media platforms, calling the tour a long-awaited moment in her career.

“For years, people have asked when I would tour again,” she said. “The time finally feels right.”

A Return to the Big Stage

According to her team, the tour is scheduled to launch in early 2026. Specific dates and cities have not yet been announced, though multiple major metropolitan markets are expected.

Her representatives confirmed the tour will focus exclusively on arena venues.

“Jennifer wanted spaces that allow intimacy but still feel powerful,” her publicist said. “Arenas give her that balance.”

Hudson has largely stepped away from full-scale touring in recent years, choosing instead to focus on film, television and select live performances. She currently hosts a nationally syndicated daytime talk show, expanding her reach to a broader audience.

“Performing live has always been my first love,” Hudson said. “Nothing replaces the energy of a crowd singing back to you.”

Building on a Multifaceted Career

Industry analysts say the timing aligns with continued momentum in the live music industry.

“Jennifer Hudson is a proven live performer,” said music analyst Carla Benton. “There is strong demand for her return to the arena stage.”

Hudson first rose to prominence as a contestant on American Idol before winning an Academy Award for her role in Dreamgirls. She is among a rare group of entertainers to earn major accolades across music, film and television.

“This tour represents every chapter of my journey,” Hudson said. “I want fans to hear the songs that shaped me.”

She added that the set list will feature a mix of hits, deep cuts and new material, with production details still being finalized.

“I want the show to feel personal,” Hudson said. “Every song will have a story.”

Pre-sale starts Wednesday, December 17, at 10 am local time. General on sale starts Friday, December 19, at 10 am local time at JoshGroban.com.

“I promise it will be worth the wait,” Hudson said “This is for everyone who has supported me.”
