Lil Pump Declares Love For Putin After Moscow Concert

Written by on 08/23/2026

Lil Pump expresses his admiration for Vladimir Putin after performing his first major solo concert in Moscow on August 22, 2026.

Lil Pump took the stage at Moscow’s VK Stadium on Saturday (August 22) and made a statement that’s got the internet in a frenzy.

After his first major solo concert in Russia, the rapper declared his love for Vladimir Putin, saying, “I love Putin. God bless Putin.”

It’s a moment that captures where we’re at in 2026, when some of Hip-Hop’s most controversial figures are finding their audience in places the Western world has largely cut off.

Lil Pump’s been building momentum in Russia for a minute now. He’s visited before, expressed genuine affection for the country and its culture, and this time he came back for a proper stadium run.

According to RIA Novosti, the performance was his biggest solo venture in the region, and he’s become one of the most visible Western artists willing to perform in Russia despite the geopolitical climate.

What’s wild is that Lil Pump isn’t alone in this move.

Kanye West announced two massive stadium shows in St. Petersburg for October 10 and 11, with tickets selling out in hours at the 70,000-capacity Gazprom Arena.

The context here matters. Russia’s been under intense international sanctions since invading Ukraine in February 2022.

As of August 2026, the death toll had reached staggering numbers: between 450,000 and 700,000 Russian military casualties, while Ukraine has lost anywhere between 55,000 and 150,000 soldiers.

The EU imposed 21 sanctions packages targeting Russian oil, gas, technology, and resources. The US Senate passed the Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, implementing even stricter measures.

Yet here are two major Western rappers performing in Moscow and St. Petersburg, seemingly unbothered by the political reality surrounding them.

Both Lil Pump and Kanye have positioned themselves as outsiders willing to go where others won’t.
