Megan Thee Stallion Speaks Out On Nicki Minaj Feud

Megan Thee Stallion recently talked about her complicated relationship with Nicki Minaj in an interview with Billboard. She reflected on the drama that started with her song “Hiss,” which was a reply to some indirect comments Minaj had made in her music. Megan said, “I still to this day don’t know what the problem is. I don’t even know what could be reconciled because I, to this day, don’t know what the problem is.”
Megan feels positive about the situation, seeing it as a sign that she’s doing well. “I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing,” she explained. “If people feel like I’m somebody to aim at, then I must be pretty high up if you’re reaching up at me. I must be some kind of competition. That makes me feel good. That makes me feel like I could rap because if I wasn’t the s—, y’all wouldn’t be worried about me.”
In her song “Megan’s Law,” Megan raps, “These h— don’t be mad at Megan, these h— mad at Megan’s Law,” which refers to the law that makes information about registered sex offenders public.
Minaj fired back with “Big Foot,” a song that included harsh comments about Megan’s personal life, including the death of Megan’s mother and her injuries from the Tory Lanez shooting in 2020.
Nicki Minaj Rap Beefs
Nicki Minaj has had several high-profile feuds. After Cardi B’s hit “Bodak Yellow” in 2017, fans wanted to see either a collaboration or a fight between them. They initially worked together on Migos’ “Motorsport,” but things went sour, and Nicki Minaj started criticizing Cardi for what she saw as disrespect.
Of course, helping Minaj to irritate Cardi only seemed to buy the duo a few months of leniency, as she very quickly got into a heated back-and-forth with the other half of the duo, Yung Miami, on Twitter in May last year.
In 2022, Nicki Minaj stirred up more drama on her Queen Radio show, sparking new feuds with Latto and Megan Thee Stallion. Minaj was upset by Latto’s comment about women thriving in rap, leading to Latto responding with songs like “Put It On Da Floor” and “Back Outside,” while Minaj allegedly fired back with “Fallin 4 U.”
Despite working together, Ice Spice has said her relationship with Minaj isn’t very close. And while the drama has calmed down a bit, Lil Kim called Nicki Minaj a snake in 2017 and even suggested a Verzuz battle in 2021.
