Miguel & Margaret Zhang Celebrate Baby’s First Birthday With a Song From Dad

R&B star Miguel and his partner Margaret Zhang just hit a major milestone — their baby turned 1 this week, and the celebration came with something special: a song straight from Dad.
On Monday (Sept. 8), the couple shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, posting a joint note to their little one:
“Our baby turned 1 today !!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELITO !!! We love you so much! So proud and honored that you chose us to be your parents. Papá wrote you a song – hope it always reminds you of how loved you are.”

In the clip, Miguel is all smiles as he holds his child (face blurred) and raises one finger — a gesture his baby adorably copies. Later, the Grammy-winning singer hopped on IG Stories to drop a link for fans to hear the track he created for his son.
The post also marked a rare collab between Miguel and Zhang. While it’s unclear exactly how long they’ve been together, Zhang is well known in the fashion world. She made history as Vogue China’s youngest editor-in-chief at just 27, leading the mag from 2021–2024 before pivoting into filmmaking.
Now 32, Zhang is carving a new lane — and it looks like family life is part of the vision.
