Misa Hylton Says Netflix’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning Sparked Harassment Toward Her Family—and She’s Calling Out the Source

Written by on 12/05/2025

Misa Hylton is firing back after the release of Sean Combs: The Reckoning unleashed a wave of harassment toward both her and her son, Justin Combs. In a detailed public statement, Hylton said the scrutiny fueled by “things implied by Gene Deal and stated in a recent Netflix documentary has been heartbreaking,” insisting that the public is being “misled” about her family. She made it clear that neither she nor Justin should be dragged into what she calls a “cruel game built on rumors and agendas.”

As discourse around the documentary spread online, an old audio clip of Gene Deal resurfaced—this time revealing his own role in allowing false narratives to grow. In the recording, Deal describes his fallout with Sean “Diddy” Combs as a full-blown war, admitting he used whatever “ammunition” he felt necessary in the conflict.

One of the most damaging rumors—the claim that Wolf, Diddy’s former bodyguard, was actually Justin’s father—is addressed directly. Deal says he never made the claim himself, but he openly admits he chose not to correct it.

“Did I deny it? Did I act like I didn’t know? Yeah,” he says. “Because anything that could hurt this… it was on from there.”

Deal even acknowledges the collateral damage: “I know what was said hurt Justin, because I did not clarify it to nobody.”

For Hylton, that’s the heart of the issue. What Deal frames as “war,” she sees as a reckless and deeply personal attack on her child. And now she’s demanding that the public stop giving those rumors oxygen.
