Ne-Yo Slaps and Shoves Fan Who Interrupted His Set in Japan this Weekend, But It’s His Reaction After Security Stepped In That’s Going Viral

Ne-Yo made headlines after a viral moment at a concert in Japan this weekend.
While performing his classic hit “Because of You” in Kobe on Sept. 27, a fan in a white T-shirt rushed the stage and reached toward the singer. Video shared online shows Ne-Yo calmly lower his mic, physically push the intruder off the stage, then immediately pick up the performance and keep singing as the show went on.
The clip spread quickly, prompting a response from Ne-Yo on Instagram Stories. Posting the footage, he wrote:
“This is what you DON’T do. I’m a gentleman but I WILL slap the s*** out of a person disrespecting my stage … Don’t try me. All love, til it’s not.”

Fans praised Ne-Yo for staying professional and protecting the stage, while others debated the best way for artists to handle onstage safety breaches. Venue security procedures and the fan’s identity haven’t been publicly disclosed.
After The Shade Room shared footage of the video online, fans weighed in on the neck slap in the comment section, and one fan wanted to know how the man got onto the stage so easily.

Another fan exclaimed, “Ne-Yo hit him with a “GETCHO GYAAAT DAMN…”
“Fire security bruh had time to do a whole 8 count,” added another. “N***a ran up there like it was his finale,” another replied with a laughing-crying emoji.

After Ne-Yo shoved the man in the direction off stage, a security guard ran up to officially escort the man made it off stage. It’s unclear who the man is and the singer had not released any details alluding to the concert goer’s name.
