No Limit Legend Young Bleed Dead at 51 After Brain Aneurysm Complications

Written by on 11/04/2025

Baton Rouge rap legend Young Bleed, one of Master P’s original No Limit Soldiers, has passed away at 51 from complications linked to a brain aneurysm, TMZ confirmed on Tuesday morning (November 4).

His son Ty’Gee Ramon shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram Monday, calling the loss “unreal” and vowing to carry on his father’s legacy.

“My father gained his wings,” Ty’Gee wrote.

Born Glenn Clifton Jr., Young Bleed was hospitalized in late October after performing at the Cash Money Verzuz No Limit event at ComplexCon. His son revealed that while the rapper had been managing high blood pressure, he had no serious medical history.

“It was a natural thing,” Ty’Gee said of the medical emergency that led to his father’s passing.

Tameka Long, known professionally as Madamm Meek and the mother of his youngest son, said the aneurysm was caused by internal bleeding. He was placed on a ventilator in ICU as doctors fought to stabilize him. His mother later launched a GoFundMe to help with medical costs.

A Southern Hip-Hop Trailblazer

Young Bleed helped define Louisiana’s rap sound in the late ’90s, emerging as a key voice in the No Limit Records movement. His breakout single, “How Ya Do Dat” — featuring Master P and C-Loc — became a regional anthem after appearing on the I’m Bout It soundtrack (1997).

His debut album, My Balls and My Word (1998), peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and went Gold, cementing his place among the South’s most respected lyricists. Known for blending street realism with poetic flair, Young Bleed’s legacy continues to influence a generation of Southern rappers.
