Shaq Claps Back at Rumors, Calls Out “Clickbait Culture,” and Promises to Keep Living Life Unbothered

Shaquille O’Neal has officially had it with internet rumors, gossip blogs, and the nonstop swirl of social media speculation. And in true Shaq fashion, he’s not sugarcoating a thing.
The NBA legend addressed the latest round of viral headlines after a website posted photos of him with a friend’s wife and spun it into something scandalous. Speaking with PEOPLE, O’Neal made it clear he refuses to let false stories dictate how he moves.
“My favorite thing is always saying, ‘image is reality,’” he said. “Nothing is going to stop me from taking pictures with friends or fans. But when the false narrative comes out, and you get another guy taking the picture and putting it on his page… it’s all clickbait.”
Shaq said he fully understands the ecosystem he’s dealing with — a social media landscape where clout is currency and lies spread faster than truth.
“Listen, everybody wants their page to be famous, I understand it,” he said. “But you have to understand, you don’t go to people’s wives. That’s something you just don’t do. I’m 53, so I’m done with all that.”
Recently, the Hall of Famer’s name was pulled into another viral moment when reality personality Natalie Nunn claimed Shaq bought her first car. The internet instantly ran wild — but Nunn later clarified they were never romantically involved, shutting down speculation before it could snowball. “I never dated Shaq,” she stated plainly.
Shaq, meanwhile, continues to stay focused on what he’s always done best — business, entertainment, and giving fans unforgettable experiences. One of his biggest projects on deck is the return of Shaq’s Fun House, his massive Super Bowl weekend party that has become one of the most anticipated events of football’s biggest week.

According to Shaq, the whole idea came from attending too many boring celebrity parties.
“Every Super Bowl party that I’ve attended is just people standing around, can’t hear the music, talking, walking around,” he said. “A lot of times you charge people to get into these parties. So if we’re going to charge people, we want you to have fun.”
Fun House isn’t just a party — it’s a full-blown experience. Expect carnival rides, performers, games, free-throw contests, food, drinks, entertainment, and major star power. This year’s lineup features T-Pain, Tiësto, and even Shaq’s son Myles hitting the stage.
“It’s going to be great weather and a great time,” Shaq promised.
At this stage in life, Shaquille O’Neal is making it clear: he’s too grown, too accomplished, and too secure to let online rumors shake him. The message is loud and clear — he’ll keep taking pictures, keep showing love, keep building, and keep doing it on his terms, whether the internet likes it or not.
