T-Pain Shoots Down Viral “F##kDJ Khaled” Comment Rumors, Says Fans Misheard His Fast Talking About DJ Khaled

Written by on 11/29/2025

T-Pain is clearing the air after a podcast clip sent social media into overdrive, sparking claims he dissed DJ Khaled. According to the Tallahassee hitmaker, the internet simply misheard him — because he talks fast.

“Well, I definitely didn’t say f*** DJ Khaled,” T-Pain wrote in a post addressing the viral moment. “I’m from Florida and n***** apparently can’t understand how fast I talk. I said ‘f****** di Khaled’… because I was about to start a list but decided to move on. It’s still love. I just learned how to move around n*****.”

The misunderstanding quickly spread after a clip from his Club Shay Shay appearance circulated online, making it sound like he had taken a direct shot at Khaled. In reality, the comment came during a broader conversation about loyalty — or the lack of it — in the music industry.

T-Pain used DJ Khaled as an example of what he called a “fake brother,” explaining that the industry’s habit of calling everyone “family” often masks relationships built strictly on business. He pointed out that he helped Khaled earn his first platinum plaque with 2007’s “I’m So Hood,” but felt that support wasn’t reciprocated when the momentum shifted.

He described the dynamic as one-sided, saying once Khaled got what he needed, the energy faded just as fast.

Throughout the interview, T-Pain spoke candidly about the transactional nature of industry friendships. He said he’s learned not to take the “we the best” talk at face value because it often disappears the moment the business benefits are gone.

The viral moment happened as T-Pain was preparing to list people he once considered close but no longer keeps around. His quick transition — “f****** di Khaled” — was misinterpreted as a direct insult.

The full episode aired earlier this week, and the misheard clip immediately gained traction across social media platforms. With speculation spreading, T-Pain moved quickly to shut down the narrative, stressing that while he may have grievances, there is no real beef.

For now, the Misheard Bar of the Week award goes to the internet. T-Pain is staying focused, staying honest, and, as usual, keeping the conversation uncomfortably real.
