Teyana Taylor is heading into 2026 with a full calendar.
The One Battle After Another star has been announced as one of the upcoming hosts for Saturday Night Live, joining the latest slate of talent set to usher in season 51 of the long-running sketch comedy series.
On Wednesday, Jan. 7, SNL revealed its midseason lineup, confirming that Taylor, 35, will host the Jan. 24 episode, with indie rock band Geese serving as the musical guest. The upcoming schedule also includes appearances from Alexander Skarsgård and Finn Wolfhard.
Taylor’s hosting gig marks a return to Studio 8H. She previously appeared on SNL in September 2018 during Kanye West’s controversial musical performance, making this her first time headlining the show as host.
Cardi B is also slated to return as a musical guest during one of the first episodes of 2026, adding more star power to the season’s early run.
Beyond SNL, Taylor continues to build momentum across multiple lanes. The Harlem native, who recently split from actor Aaron Pierre, earned a Best R&B Album nomination for Escape Room ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards.
The nod is especially notable given that Taylor previously announced her retirement from music, citing feelings of being “super under-appreciated as an artist.” Since then, she has shifted her focus toward acting, appearing in Coming 2 America (2021), delivering a breakout performance in A Thousand and One (2023), and most recently earning critical acclaim for One Battle After Another, starring opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.
Saturday Night Live will return with its midseason premiere on Jan. 17, with Taylor’s hosting turn following one week later.
