Verzuz Returns with Epic No Limit vs. Cash Money Matchup on Apple Music with Big Surprise Appearances

Written by on 10/27/2025

The rumors were wrong — Verzuz is officially back.

After a three-year pause, the hit music face-off co-founded by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland is making its grand return at ComplexCon Las Vegas on Saturday, October 25, with a heavyweight showdown: Cash Money Records vs. No Limit Records.

The Southern rap showdown is timed perfectly — earlier that day, Grambling State University will take on Jackson State University in the “HBCU Classic” at Allegiant Stadium, setting the stage for a full weekend celebrating Black culture and legacy.

“Rather than talking so much, we just want to get to the action,” Swizz and Timbaland said in a joint statement, teasing a “massive” relaunch. The event will stream live on Apple Music at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

In the late ’90s and early 2000s, both Cash Money and No Limit defined New Orleans hip-hop — from bling bling and camo fits to Girbaud jeans and tank logos. The labels birthed legends like Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Master P, Mia X, Mannie Fresh, and B.G., forever changing the sound and style of Southern rap.

Master P spoke on the matchup earlier this week, showing respect to his longtime peers.

“We definitely two companies that came up in New Orleans and created empires,” he said. “So my hats go off to Birdman and Cash Money, as well as my No Limit army — all my soldiers, everybody that represented us for so long.”

The crowd inside ComplexCon was electric as the two Louisiana heavyweights traded hit after hit, including classics like Juvenile’s “400 Degreez” and “Back That Azz Up,” alongside No Limit anthems like “Make Em Say Unh” and “I’m Still Fly.” Adding major star power to the No Limit side was Snoop Dogg, who made a surprise appearance, stepping out to perform the classic C-Murda anthem “Down 4 My N****z.” Snoop’s presence carried extra weight due to his history with the label, as he signed with Master P’s No Limit after leaving Death Row Records in the 90s, which helped to further his career.

During the pandemic, Verzuz evolved from a scrappy Instagram live event into a full-scale cultural spectacle, giving fans unforgettable moments like The LOX vs. Dipset at Madison Square Garden and Earth, Wind & Fire vs. The Isley Brothers.
