Yolanda Adams to join ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Broadway Cast

Broadway’s hottest ticket just got even more legendary. Gospel superstar Yolanda Adams is officially joining the cast of Hell’s Kitchen, the hit Alicia Keys musical that’s become a “rare must-see” on the Great White Way.
Adams will step into the role of Miss Liza Jane, taking over from Tony Award winner Kecia Lewis, who will perform her final show on Saturday, December 13. The gospel powerhouse begins alternating in the role on Friday, November 21, before assuming it full-time on Tuesday, December 16, for a limited engagement through Sunday, January 25, 2026.
“Performing on Broadway has always been a dream of mine,” Adams said in a statement. “Growing up as a musician, Miss Liza Jane reminds me of a wonderful mentor who blessed my life immensely. Alicia Keys has crafted an amazing story that exemplifies how we are all connected. This show feels like home.”
She continued, “The central themes — joy, pain, beauty, and tough love — are universal. Everyone can see themselves in this musical. I am beyond thrilled to step into Hell’s Kitchen and bring this story to life!”
