Chris Brown Receives Highest Number Of RIAA-Certified Singles In ‘Male Artist’ Category, Cements Record-Breaking Year

Written by on 12/03/2025

Chris Brown’s 2025 victory lap continues. After a year packed with major accomplishments, the R&B superstar has now added a fresh stack of RIAA certifications — including multiple new platinum plaques that push him even deeper into the history books.

According to Rated R&B, Brown just picked up nine new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. His 2005 self-titled debut album has officially crossed the 4x platinum mark, joining his 2007 project Exclusive, which hit the same milestone in 2021 and remains his highest-certified album to date.

Several of Brown’s early career fan-favorites also notched new sales achievements. “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)” has climbed to 4x platinum, “Gimme That” now sits at 2x platinum, and “Say Goodbye” has reached 3x platinum.

Additional catalog standouts — including “Run It!,” “Poppin’,” and “Superhero (Heroes & Villains),” his collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin — continue to rise as well. Newly minted gold certifications were awarded to “Ain’t No Way” and “Ya Man Ain’t Me.”

The momentum follows Brown’s massive Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour, which dominated the summer with sold-out arenas and viral meet-and-greets that fans paid more than $1,200 to attend. The tour grossed $295.5 million across 49 shows and moved 1.983 million tickets, making it the highest-grossing tour of his career, per Billboard.

This year alone, Brown also secured his third diamond certification for “Look at Me Now” featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes — further solidifying his standing among the most decorated artists of his generation.

R&B icon Monica recently praised Brown’s artistry in an interview with Billboard, calling him one of the greatest performers alive.

“I feel like he is the greatest entertainer that is left here on earth with us,” Monica said. “There were many before him. He is just one of one… Anything he touches, he makes it better.”

She added that her admiration for Brown is unwavering: “Chris knows that I absolutely support him, good, bad or indifferent, no matter what.”
