Long-simmering tensions within the Dipset camp flared back to life this week after a seemingly sarcastic social media post sparked a full-blown exchange between Cam’Ron and Jim Jones. What began as a joke quickly escalated into public insults, challenges, and outside commentary — with Freeky Zeeky and 50 Cent adding fuel to the fire on social media.

Cam’Ron fired the first shot with a post clearly aimed at Jones, mocking his situation and taking a swipe at his finances.

“How u worried about me when ya heat off and rent due,” Cam wrote, pairing it with a caption that read, “Herd it was 7 degrees in da Bronx last night.”

The jab referenced a video circulating online of Jones attending a Let’s Talk About Rap Podcast event in the Bronx. In the clip, Jones appeared bundled up in heavy winter clothing despite being indoors. Cam framed the moment as evidence that Jones didn’t have heat, turning the video into a punchline.

Jones didn’t let it slide. He fired back in the comments, questioning Cam’s toughness and escalating the exchange.

“A block no U soft,” Jones wrote before widening the scope. “U whole crew is soft. U wanna play pull up let th people see how soft u are chump. Freakey u soft too.”

That callout pulled Freeky Zeeky directly into the dispute. The former Dipset member responded by challenging Jones’ narrative and referencing past street situations.

“@jimjonescapo was I soft in Detroit when [ninja emoji] was Get’n at us & u was using me as a shield,” Zeeky wrote, adding, “@tricktrickgs2 was there.”

Cam’Ron re-entered the conversation, leaning into humor while doubling down on the insult.

“@jimjonescapo yea but my heat on. And I’m warm, you 50 years old, tough and cold,” Cam wrote. He followed up by pressing the issue further: “But dead ass tho capo, ya heat off for real ??”

Jones attempted to brush it off, replying,

“Do ur shoe punk.” But Cam stayed locked in, continuing the roast. “@jimjonescapo what’s wrong capo? Ya heat off too? I ain’t know,” he wrote. “Is hate for you to be 50 yrs old wit no heat. What’s ya Zell bro? I got u.”

Jones again challenged Cam to meet up, repeating, “U wanna play pull up let the people see how soft u are chump.”

Cam responded with his most pointed and cutting comment yet, combining age jokes, financial digs, and alleged receipts. “Jomo you 50 and still wanna pull up,” Cam wrote. “I got the video of you breaking in ya own studio tryna trigga the heat system. And chasing ya landlord around in his car cause he want his rent. YOU ARE 50!! Go ‘pull up’ on that heat bill.”

The public spat quickly caught the attention of 50 Cent, who gleefully jumped into the fray.

“Damn Jim mad, with all this pressure. I hope he is alright CAM is laughing at him. LOL maybe they can start a fire 🔥 and all stand around it,” 50 wrote.

He followed up with another jab moments later. “Damn it man 😆 it’s cold as a b!tch over there huh? Fvck it you Cooo LOL.”

What started as jokes about cold weather and winter gear rapidly reopened old Dipset wounds, showing just how unresolved the tensions between Cam’Ron, Jim Jones, and their circle remain. Years after their peak, the drama continues — now amplified by Instagram comments, viral clips, and hip-hop’s long memory for disrespect.
