Offset is turning the page on his high-profile relationship with Cardi B through music, using his upcoming album as a vehicle for closure and new beginnings.
The Migos rapper revealed that his forthcoming track “Move On” directly addresses the end of his marriage to the Grammy-winning star. Speaking with the Associated Press, Offset emphasized the song’s peaceful intentions.
“It’s about moving on peacefully. That’s what the message is supposed to be. It’s all love and peace,” he explained. “I just ended the album with that song to close that chapter because it’s time to move on—it’s over and done with. It was great while it lasted, but that shouldn’t be the topic for either of us anymore. It’s a book that’s closed.”
The track serves as the emotional anchor for Offset’s third solo album, KIARI, dropping August 22 through Motown Records. Named after his given name, the project represents his most introspective work yet.
Offset announced the album with signature flair, orchestrating a Times Square takeover featuring suited doppelgangers recreating the album’s artwork. Fans can expect multiple physical editions, each showcasing unique cover art.
KIARI features heavyweight collaborations with J.I.D., Gunna, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign, Key Glock, YFN Lucci, and Teezo Touchdown.
The Atlanta native has already teased the album’s sound with “Professional,” a polished post-trap single that showcases his evolution as an artist. The accompanying video, shot at NYC’s exclusive Lucien restaurant, reinforces Offset’s luxury brand and meticulous attention to aesthetic detail.
With KIARI, Offset positions himself for a pivotal moment—establishing his individual artistry while expanding his influence beyond music into entertainment and fashion realms.
