Mike Tyson vs. Floyd Mayweather: “Legend vs. Legend” Set for 2026

Written by on 09/05/2025

Boxing fans, buckle up — two of the sport’s biggest names are finally stepping into the ring together. Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have officially agreed to an exhibition fight, set to go down in spring 2026.

The date and location are still under wraps, but TMZ broke the news Thursday, with Tyson himself confirming on social media. He even teased a fight poster calling it exactly what it is: “Legend vs. Legend.”

This won’t go on either fighter’s official record — which works out well for Mayweather, who still carries his flawless 50-0 pro record.

For Tyson, now 59, this marks yet another comeback attempt. He last returned to the ring in 2024, suffering a disappointing loss to Jake Paul. Before that, Iron Mike’s last official professional fight was way back in 2005.

Mayweather, 48, hasn’t fought professionally since defeating Conor McGregor by TKO in 2017. Since then, he’s been cashing in on high-profile exhibitions, including bouts with Logan Paul and most recently John Gotti III — which famously ended in a wild ringside brawl.

Whether you see it as a dream fight or a nostalgia grab, one thing’s for sure: when Tyson and Mayweather square off, the world will be watching.
