Megan Thee Stallion is turning up the pressure in her ongoing defamation lawsuit against Texas YouTuber Milagro Gramz. The Houston rapper is now asking a New Jersey court to force DJ Akademiks to testify after he dodged questions about leaked evidence tied to the Tory Lanez shooting case.
Filed in 2024, Meganâs lawsuit accuses Gramz (real name Milagro Cooper) of running an online smear campaign in collaboration with Tory Lanez, who is currently serving a 10-year sentence in California for shooting Megan in 2020. According to court documents, Gramz was allegedly paid âthousands of dollarsâ to spread false information and discredit the rapper across social media.
The latest twist centers on a confidential DNA report from the firearm used in the shooting. The document, which was never meant for public release, surfaced online in 2022. Meganâs team argues both Akademiks and Gramz circulated it to damage her credibility.
Akademiks (born Livingston Allen) appeared for questioning on August 22 but refused to reveal how he obtained the sealed report, citing shield laws that protect journalistsâ sources. He reportedly told Meganâs attorneys he would ânever revealâ the source unless ordered by a judge.
Now, Meganâs lawyers want that order issued. They say confirming how the report leaked is key to proving their case against Gramz and exposing what they describe as a coordinated effort to smear Megan online.
The court has not yet ruled on Meganâs request, leaving Akademiksâ testimony â and the case itself â hanging in the balance.
