Ray J’s Thanksgiving spiraled into a public crisis after a late-night livestream ended with the singer arrested on suspicion of making a criminal threat following an explosive confrontation with his ex-wife, Princess Love.

The livestream, broadcast from Ray J’s Los Angeles home in the early hours of the holiday, captured the unraveling of a tense family situation that has now become the center of a criminal investigation. The drama unfolded just weeks after Ray publicly asked Princess to reconcile.
During the stream, Ray J told viewers he was having “the worst Thanksgiving in the world,” claiming unnamed people were trying to take his children and that he feared for his safety. He then retrieved a handgun from a table, loaded it on camera, and warned he would defend his home if anyone approached.
Moments later, shouting was heard off-screen. Ray J ordered someone to leave, accusing them of trespassing. Princess Love entered with their daughter, Melody, and stated plainly that Ray had pointed a gun at them.
“You pointed a gun at us,” she said.

Ray J immediately denied it and accused Princess and her cousin of being intoxicated. The argument escalated as Princess fired back, calling him a “woman abuser.”
Two more individuals entered the room. One confronted Ray J, who responded with, “I’ll shoot the f*** out of you,” before the camera dropped. Audio continued as Ray threatened to kill the man if he didn’t leave. A child could be heard crying as police sirens approached.
LAPD officers arrived minutes later, secured the home, and arrested Ray J. He was booked on suspicion of making a criminal threat and held on $50,000 bail. He posted bond hours later and left jail without comment.
Princess Love spoke publicly shortly after, posting a video titled “Enough is enough.”

In her statement, she accused Ray J of endangering their children and claimed he has “terrorized” and “abused” women. She said Ray pointed a gun at her and her cousin’s husband as she tried to remove the children from the home. She also alleged that during a previous visit, the children found Ray “in bed naked with another woman.”
Ray J briefly responded in a post that has since been deleted. He denied pointing a gun at Princess, stated he acted because Princess’s cousin’s husband entered his room while attempting to take the children, and said he was “shocked” by his arrest.
Ray J is scheduled to appear in court on December 19 as the case continues to unfold.
