Kim Kardashian is reopening one of the darkest chapters of her life — and revealing that one of the most painful blows didn’t come from the armed men who tied her up in a Paris bathroom, but from her ex-husband, Ye.
In the latest episode of The Kardashians, released Thursday (Dec. 4), Kim returns to Paris for the robbery trial, revisiting the trauma of the 2016 heist that changed her life. While she never mentions Ye by name, it’s clear who she’s referring to as she recounts being accused of staging the robbery for the cameras.
“My ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and had said that in front of all these people,” Kim said through tears. “That was a knife to my heart. Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you — someone so close to you… that just really bothered me. You don’t know who I am.”
At the time of the robbery, Ye was performing at Meadows Fest in Queens before abruptly ending his set after being alerted to what had happened in Paris.
The October 2016 attack made global headlines. Armed intruders bound Kim, held her at gunpoint, and escaped with nearly $10 million in jewelry. She has long described the moment as life-altering — a violent trauma that reshaped her relationship with fame, security, and public life.
Now, nearly a decade later, she is finally seeing justice delivered. Eight of the 10 individuals involved in the heist were convicted in May, receiving sentences from three to eight years. Two were acquitted.
“To finally be able to go to trial and face these people and hear their accounts and apologies, I’m like, see, guys. It was real,” Kim said. “I’m happy it’s over.”
The emotional episode underscores a painful truth: sometimes the deepest wounds aren’t inflicted by strangers — but by the people we once trusted most.
